MAD AS A HATTER

I love fairy tales, in fact I just love everything fantastic and unrealistic. That's why I'm so happy that Tim Burton is doing Alice In Wonderland! I saw the trailer, and it simply looks incredible. Some of my favourite actors and actresses are in the film as Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter, and I believe they will make the experience even better.
Alice (played by the new fish Mia Wasikowski) have also been shopping, and I love all of the dresses I've seen by now.

OPI has made four different Alice-style nail lacquers, so we all have the opportunity to look like Alice till our fingertips. I am mad about "Off with Her Red!" and "Absolutely Alice".

The film has première March 5th (my BIRTHDAY!), and I am going to be first at the cinema!

Here's some Alice-stuff I wish for!

STRIPES AND MADNESS

I got a friend called Mia. She's almost as mad as me, and that's actually difficult, I think ;D Well, we were done with the German test, and were bored.. Mia got the idea that we should take pictures! Afterwords we looked at them, and thought it was pretty hilarious that we both wore stripes. It looks almost hypnotic..
I like Mia's knit though, and found out that a French braid suits me!

Thank God for all his madness!

BTW: Stockholm Fashion Week is airborne, and I love Minimarket's stuff. See www.anywho.dk for pictures and other information.

SKELETON OF THE CITY

Kungsgatan in the snow.

I was in Malmö yesterday, and it was all snowy. It was so beautiful, and so white that my eyes hurt. The sun was shining and the canal was frozen - it felt like a huge pillow was covering the streets. Everything was slowed down too, and most noise was gone. Days like those are special. Magical in a way, with the earth glittering with tiny crystals.

I took a photo of a very "dead" bike. It looks like one of those scary skeletons on the prairie in bad cowboy films. Funny to think of, that when the ice is melting, the bike will lay on the bottom of the canal.

Happy powdery days!

DO THE MIX

I got this idea I simply have to try when I got my pay this week. It's the mix between the very fierce and the very pretty I want. Denim + chiffon would be nice.
Here's my dream-outfit right now!

PRINCESS FOR A DAY

The real deal princess Marie Antoniette

I've always wanted to be a princess. Princesses are magical and beautiful, and there's always some prince to save them. But if I should be a princess I wouldn't want to live today. I would like to be like Marie Antoniette (without the beheading!) and wear abundant outfits, going to more abundant masquerades! I would wear fans, bright stones, bows and feathers, and nobody would think that I was going mad!

Here's some pieces there definitely should be in my princess-wardrobe, and some places I would spent my pastime!

Please enjoy these fairytale-thoughts!
xoxo Amanda

Dress from Dolce & Gabbana that would fit a modern princess so well

This dress by Alexander McQueen is actually designed for Alice (in Wonderland), but I might be stealing it for my wardrobe

THE ALEXA BAG - I'M ON!

How is it that one single person can get all of the nice stuff in this world? Alexa Chung got this old men's Mulberry bag, and know Emma Hill for Mulberry has designed this updated Alexa-bag!
It's so perfect! Perfect size, perfect colours, perfect design!
I like these colours, but I can't decide which one's my favourite..

Oh Alexa, Alexa, I'm so jealous!

*THE NEW SEASON*

I love spring! The flowers are coming, my birthday is arriving, and everything is sweet and wonderful. But it is, however, not spring yet.. That is why, I'm so very grateful for the fantastic phenomenon called FASHION! In fashion spring comes early, and that really lighten me up in this cold, grey weather.

I got a couple of favourites, and I'm momentarily totally lost in Burberry Prorsum. There's a lot draping, silk, short dresses, military details, and veeeery high heels. I adore the colours (pastels, beige, white) too.

The campaign - shot by star-photographer Mario Testino - is also nice. Emma Watson, her brother Alex, musicians George Craig (from One Night Only - and also extremely handsome) and Matt Gilmour, plus male model Max Hurd.
I like all about it. It's so British, so considered, and so very, very stylish.
Well done Christopher Bailey!
