BLANK SHEET OF PAPER

It's cold and dark. It doesn't feel like summer at all. School is officially over, but I still need to take four more examinations. This holiday stuff feels like fake leather.

I drove down to the petrol station to bye my favourite magazine, but now I've got enough fashion-reading and radio-listening for today..
Yesterday was a lot more sunny, but in some way surreal too. I don't really feel like this is me any more, and that's kind of scary..

I need a blank sheet of paper
I don't want to walk on someone else's floor
It's sticky

RANDOM PICS

Just a little dose of everyday-pictures from my camera. What in the world looks more powerful than big, black horses? Now I seriously want a coach. x Amanda.

WOOD 'N' LEATHER

I like the combination of wood and leather. They look so beautiful with flowers and thin summer dresses, and fits my Provence-dream perfectly.
1) Burberry, 2) A.P.C, 3) Donna Karen, 4) Stella McCartney, 5) Michael Kors (all at net-a-porter.com.

GOOD-LOOKING UGLINESS

I found this shirt at a nearby charity shop. Right this second I'm trying to get the smell of old lady out of it - which can be very difficult. But I really like it! It's the blouse of a very well-dressed prisoner or referee. Plus it's a little ugly. But still - good-looking ugly!

SUNNY BED

It's sometimes difficult not to be mad. Or sad. I don't know.. Mostly, I think, it's just a grim share of teenage melancholy - but I'm not going to judge myself. I have to let the sun warm me, cause I can't do that myself. And here comes the pocket-poetry in. I hope you can bear with me, cause I'm going to spill it here. Sorry. /Amanda

Sunny bed
In the middle of a living world
Particles of light turn
With dust in the quiet air
They unite to one
Over a sunny bed

Silent heart
In the middle of a living body
Streams of blood run
With hurry in the veins
But it doesn't feel a thing
My silent heart

CARIE MULLIGAN GOT TASTE AND TALENT

My little obsession with Carey Mulligan might be a part of my obsession of her latest film - An Education. And my obsession with the film might be because of my obsession with the 60's and France. Enough obsession-talk - I just like her. In An Education they had a great, great stylist, but she also has wonderful style in "real life". I really like the Prada she wore at the Oscars (the picture in the top). xx A.

MOMENTS OF A RAINY SATURDAY

Last Saturday things happened. And now you think that it's exciting - but really, it's just different. My cousin and I were driving on one bike to the station - as we always do - when a mad-sounding man yelled at us. I looked around (confused), and saw a sneaky dark blue police van on the street. BANG! For the first time in history I was stopped by the police! So while I just smiled as a lunatic at the police, my cousin jumped of the bike, and the police drove by. We walked 300 meters and got on the bike again..
After drinking coffee and eating croissants, we saw a dead mannequin (or is it just tired?) - I had to snap a picture.

Just a tip! Greek yoghurt with frozen blueberries and honey is fantastic!

WINE RED TURBAN

I want a red turban. The thought about getting one, have been smouldering inside of me, since I saw a girl with one in Berlin last year. I've decided that it's my turban-time now, but I'm very particular about the choice of colour. It has to be in this dark, dark red shade - wine red. Vine red just look so expensive and sophisticated - and who would want less?
My problem is that a wine red turban isn't anywhere to find online. I must try to find it somewhere else, and it wouldn't surprise me if my local treasure-filled antique shop got one lying around.
Will be continued! xx Amanda

HOW DO THEY FEEL IN PROVENCE?

I'm going to Provence (in France, red.) this summer, where my parents has rented a big house. It's way out on the countryside, but in acceptable distance from Avignon and Aix-en-Provence. Beside seeing the bigger French cities, I also look forward to visit the nature reserve called "Parc Natural Règional du Luberon" where hilltop-towns with castles and ruins, can be found.
When I close my eyes I can see myself dancing around on a lavender field in a summer dress, sandals and a happy smile. A picture that's so far away from the grey, Danish situation here. My cherry tree haven't even sprung yet, but I know (from Thecherryblossomgirl.com) that they have in Paris. So much for (freezing) Scandinavian minimalism..
But really, I look forward to visiting France, and I will use these last boring months to get as French as possible!

Au revoir! xx Amanda

DRESSING FOR LEAVING THE OLD BEHIND

I thought of a short 'n' sweet floral printed dress for the "leaving party" at my school this summer. I like the one from Malene Birger with the wedges from Miu Miu (in the top), but it's a little expensive.. Well, I guess I'll see what I end up with (:

MONKI SPONKI

I've seen the dress in my favourite magazine, COVER, and been in love with it from that very moment. It's from Monki so that means it's also very cheap(!!) - more to love. The bra is also from Monki, and I would like to own one - it's only summer 3 months a year, right (;
The belt is slightly more expensive (Michael Kors), but you might get the idea.. The belt I want is from Bruuns Bazar, but I couldn't find a picture of it..
To finish the outfit these ballerinas from Repetto would be very nice! I have never seen shoes in the colour of the sky before, so I'm pretty exited!

THE COLOUR OF HAPPINESS

I've started painting again (after maybe a year?), and it's a feeling I'm trying to catch. It's that warm, dusty feeling of summer happiness - that feeling that sometimes turns up out of nothing. I'm painting it in yellow and warm orange colours, and I thing I'm going to buy some tissue paper to get the right dusty look out of it. I'd like it to be a little circus -like too, so I'm going for some rhombuses (special kind of square - like those Harlekin wears).
This is going to be goooood! (;

DREAM OF DESTRUCTION

I think we all want to be destructive at some point in our lives. The funny thing is, that we all are judging the people who's really living "the dream". But isn't it safer to be the tornado in stead of the idiot who fascinated stands on the ground to watch it vandalizing? I don't know if you have to be brave to be destructive - or is it only stupid people who doesn't have a clue about what they are doing?
I got these small flashes where I get the need (or lust?) to be destructive. For example: Everytime I walk over a bridge, I get this thought, that it would be fantastic to throw my bag in the water. I have never done it yet, but I'm really afraid that I'll do it sometime.
I also think everyone have had the thought of just throwing the homework in some fire, and then just leave to see the world.

But I don't think I could do that.
So either am I too clever and reasonable (hah) to be destructive - or am I just a chicken?

xx Amanda

PS: The artwork in the top is by Damien Hirst. I thought it looked like a bursting bomb.
