SKELETON OF THE CITY

Kungsgatan in the snow.

I was in Malmö yesterday, and it was all snowy. It was so beautiful, and so white that my eyes hurt. The sun was shining and the canal was frozen - it felt like a huge pillow was covering the streets. Everything was slowed down too, and most noise was gone. Days like those are special. Magical in a way, with the earth glittering with tiny crystals.

I took a photo of a very "dead" bike. It looks like one of those scary skeletons on the prairie in bad cowboy films. Funny to think of, that when the ice is melting, the bike will lay on the bottom of the canal.

Happy powdery days!

DO THE MIX

I got this idea I simply have to try when I got my pay this week. It's the mix between the very fierce and the very pretty I want. Denim + chiffon would be nice.
Here's my dream-outfit right now!

PRINCESS FOR A DAY

The real deal princess Marie Antoniette

I've always wanted to be a princess. Princesses are magical and beautiful, and there's always some prince to save them. But if I should be a princess I wouldn't want to live today. I would like to be like Marie Antoniette (without the beheading!) and wear abundant outfits, going to more abundant masquerades! I would wear fans, bright stones, bows and feathers, and nobody would think that I was going mad!

Here's some pieces there definitely should be in my princess-wardrobe, and some places I would spent my pastime!

Please enjoy these fairytale-thoughts!
xoxo Amanda

This dress by Alexander McQueen is actually designed for Alice (in Wonderland), but I might be stealing it for my wardrobe

THE ALEXA BAG - I'M ON!

How is it that one single person can get all of the nice stuff in this world? Alexa Chung got this old men's Mulberry bag, and know Emma Hill for Mulberry has designed this updated Alexa-bag!
It's so perfect! Perfect size, perfect colours, perfect design!
I like these colours, but I can't decide which one's my favourite..

Oh Alexa, Alexa, I'm so jealous!

Find more information on www.mulberry.com - they got a video of their show, and there is loads of balloons, great bags and clothes!

*THE NEW SEASON*

I love spring! The flowers are coming, my birthday is arriving, and everything is sweet and wonderful. But it is, however, not spring yet.. That is why, I'm so very grateful for the fantastic phenomenon called FASHION! In fashion spring comes early, and that really lighten me up in this cold, grey weather.

I got a couple of favourites, and I'm momentarily totally lost in Burberry Prorsum. There's a lot draping, silk, short dresses, military details, and veeeery high heels. I adore the colours (pastels, beige, white) too.

The campaign - shot by star-photographer Mario Testino - is also nice. Emma Watson, her brother Alex, musicians George Craig (from One Night Only - and also extremely handsome) and Matt Gilmour, plus male model Max Hurd.
I like all about it. It's so British, so considered, and so very, very stylish.
Well done Christopher Bailey!

Why?

Okay, I was looking for some warm knit, but I just fell over this. It is the most brilliant question, and I suppose I say it around 10 times a day. I must have it! - I can just put a cardigan on top.
T-shirt(Patti why print) from Weekday MTWTFSS.

Why not, really?!

No Eyes, But Great Knit

I was celebrating my friends Sweet 16 yesterday! It isn't really a big deal to be 16 in Denmark (actually in Denmark you are allowed to buy and drink alcohol when you are 16), but we take every opportunity to celebrate something..
We met at my friends house, ate a lovely dinner and went for a stroll on the town. It is so cold here - last evening -10 degrees C - so I was prepared with the biggest knit scarf and a wool coat (:
On the picture my eyes are almost non-existing because of a very bright blitz, but I think it's OK anyway..

This is Danish winter - be prepared all foreigners!!

Last night i wore some black, shiny harem-pants, a grey tanktop, and a denim jacket with puffy sleeves. I went for a smaller bag, and it ended up with the one in black velvet. I got it from my great grandmum when she died last spring, and I love it so much. She was like the Danish version of Coco Chanel - totally stylish!
I brought it with me to Amsterdam this autumn, and the employees in Mulberry went totally mad over it! Funny that such a little thing can mean so much..

Keep warm everybody!

Lady Barbie Gaga

When I was little I loved Barbie, and I had around 20 of them. My grandmum sew clothes for them, and I even got a dress for my favorite Barbie, made of the same fabric as my moms weddingdress!

I stopped playing with my Barbies when I was around 11 years old. Sad really, but you know how it goes.. I went from Barbies to music and magazines - and know I play with fashion and not dolls.
But now something amazing has happened!! Some chinese Barbie-player (and very possible also big Gaga fan), has transformed regular Barbies to Gaga-Barbies, in some of the Lady's most remarkable outfits. He even got her hairstyles perfectly right!
Now I SO want to play with Barbie again!

Blue Moon

I went to see Avatar with my friend yesterday, and it was an amazing experience. We saw it in 3D, and it's so wild having monsters (those big dragon-birds) and enormous blue people walking around you. Jake Sully is played by a very hot Australian actor called Sam Worthington, and Neytiri (Sully's big love) is played by the beautiful Zoë Saldana.

By the way - the glasses, you get tso you can see the 3D-effects, is pretty cool! Everybody in the cinema looked like rockstars hiding behind their Raybans. Funny :D

Leighton Is Going All Poppy

Well, I really like Gossip Girl. It's almost an obsession, I must admit. It's about style and society, and it's kind of a modern fairytale. The headroles lives on Manhattan, and got the platin American Express (with diamonds). I love them all, but I love Blair Waldorf the most. She is so bitchy that the half would be enough, and wear the most perfect outfit for every occaision.

Blair is played by Leighston Meester, and she got very nice style herself. Leighton takes chances, and that's funny and inspiring. She worn Louis Vuitton at the MET Gala, and people didn't like it. I think it's a good outfit, that shows people, who they are playing with. Impressive.

Like I said, taking chances is good, but know I think Leightong is on the wrong path.. I like her thing with Cobra Starship (in small doses, though), but her song "Somebody To Love" is to creepy-poppy. Sorry L - it's just not right. (Here you see her at It's on with Alexa Chung, MTV)

Watch her sing at It's on with Alexa Chung:

Looking for Style-Frenzies in the Past and Future

In the past year we have had a lots of crazy frenzies going on. The globe has been going totally mad about New Moon (Mr. Lautner's body and Mr. Pattinson's smile, might have a share in this..), the climate (can you say C-O-2 and O-R-G-A-N-I-C?), shirts whit stripes, lace (just look at the Gaga-lady), and much, much more. I will here, give you a run-through of what I loved the most!

Style-icon of the year

Alexa has a adorable style - she mixes high fashion and old T's with being a little childish. Amazing.

Frenzy- to-wear of the year

This was fun in the beginning, bu now it's just pretty boring.. Nice lace detail, though!

Shoe -frenzy of the year

Studs was once pon a time only for punkers, but the past years everyone has worn it.

My favorite song of 2009

Robert Pattinson - "Never Think"
I don't know how many times I have been falling asleep to this song (it's almost embarrasing).. He got such a beatiful voice, and the guitar playing just floats. Whoa.

Craziest star of 2009

I love this Lady (Gaga) for being so absolutely weird! It's simply just hreat that she is taking all those crazy style-stunts!
